Liner notes state, "The material on this recording was gathered during the months of September, October and November 1999. A more important date, specifically, is October 2, 1999; this being when Gary performed a special invitation-only concert in Sheffield for BBC Radio 2. Just 300 people were present at the show (although a further 11.5 million listeners heard excerpts on the radio), and we are delighted to be able to include six songs from the event within our package."
