This performance was recorded October 28, 1956 at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester New York using only three microphones - left, right and center - to three track half inch tape.
The 3-track tape was then mixed down to 2-track stereo on 1/4" tape.
This 2-track Mercury Living Presence "Seeing-Ear" Stereophonic Tape Recording is a 1:1 duplicate of a 2nd generation copy of the 2-channel master tape.
