Some pressings of this 45 identify Al Perkins and Dee Clark (actually Dave Clark) as writers of Homework. Tony Gideon claims that he and Eddie Thomas wrote the song for Perkins, who then made a deal with Don Music Co., claiming he and Clark were the writers. Given that (a) the first version of the song was by Otis Rush (not Al Perkins) in 1962; and (b) the Otis Rush record shows Al Perkins and Dave Clark as writers of both sides, Tony Gideon's claim is dubious.
