Operatic season 1931-1932. Opera in four acts. Libretto after the novella by Prosper Mérimée. First performed at the Opera-Comique, Paris on March 3rd, 1875. Sung in Italian. Recorded in Milan in May 1932. Master numbers: WBX 1213-1250. First issued on record numbers GQX 10641-10659, First transfer to Lp in 1957 on record numbers QCX 10241-10243. Master numbers of the first Lp transfer: XBX 414-419. New technical edition from original tapes made in 1979 by EMI Italiana. An EMI Italiana Production, 1979. Made in Italy. "N 33/78 B" printed on the bottom right corner of two inner sleeves. "N 21/78 B" printed on the bottom right corner of one inner sleeve. It includes a 24-pages booklet with notes and lyrics in Italian and in English. Irma Mion is credited as mezzo-soprano on the labels and as soprano on the booklet.
