John Anthony quietly built off the releasing momentum, as he would released his second mixtape under Villainous Records called the Ride or Die, featuring eight tracks. The mixtape was released with no prior announcement on John Anthony's YouTube page and was dedicated to a former girlfriend at the time. The mixtape has over 8,000 total streams, with the two more popular tracks being "Rock With You" and "Somebody Else". John Anthony's "Rock With You" contains samples of the song "Rock With You" (1979) by Michael Jackson. A sample of Michael Jackson singing is used as the chorus for this song. "Rocketship", which is a song from the The Therapy LP, was also featured on the mixtape.
