Comes in a CD sized papersleeve album replica (gatefold), with obi-strip, plain white innersleeve and two inserts of notes mostly in Japanese relating to original Japanese title 'Live In Japan'. Also includes an insert with Japanese 'Live In Japan' original artwork, and a film-negative. Source of the Audio (not a remaster): The original Made in Japan recordings come from 8-track multitrack master tapes recorded during Deep Purple’s August 1972 shows in Osaka and Tokyo. For the well-known original album (early releases, including many Japanese CDs): the original 1972 analogue 8-track masters were mixed to stereo for the album. These mixes — not new remixes — are what most historical single-disc CDs (like the 2006 WPCR-12256) use. Original 1972 multitrack masters mixed to the original stereo master for Made in Japan. Used the standard stereo master likely drawn from those existing masters and remastered for the 2006 CD pressing.
