The musical text used in these performances of Gibbons' choral music is based upon 'Tudor Church Music', vol. IV. The organ music has been edited from extant settings in the Cosyn Virginal Book. Track A1 uses the music composed by Gibbons for a hymn published in George Wither's 'Hymnes and Songs of the Church', 1623. [On sleeve] Argo Copyright Made in England. Argo Record Company Limited 113 Fulham Road London SW3 Printed by Graphics Press Limited Laminated with 'Clarifoil' made by British Celanese Limited [On labels] Made in England The present release shares most traits with [url=https://www.discogs.com/release/5833874]Tudor Church Music[/url], including the wide pressing ring, but here the centre labels do not mention 'ARGO RECORD CO. LTD.' right above the centre hole. In addition there is now a printed code 'O/T', not the former 'K/T'. The sleeve mentions lamination with 'Clarifoil'.
