Super limited edition 12" LP comprising two Fake Estates releases, the "New Words From The OED" lathe cut (originally issued in an edition of 10) from 2019 and the quarantine era digital only release "The Entertainer" issued in 2020.
"The Entertainer" is a hostile deconstruction / memory purge of the Marvin Hamlisch version of this ragtime classic, a recording whose ubiquity in 1970's America inflicted untold damage on a generation.
"New Words From The OED" atomizes canonical speech, reducing the neologistic pronunciation guides from the Oxford English Dictionary to their constituent sibilants, plosives and fricatives.
