1 LP in a gatefold sleeve. The lyrics of the children's song are printed on the gatefold's inside. A 12"x12" sized, 4 color printed, 12-page booklet is included, containing the complete "Max und Moritz" poem along with the original illustrations by Wilhelm Busch. New copies are not shrink-wrap sealed but come along with a transparent protective outer sleeve, bearing a sticker on its back-side. Release title on that sticker is "Max und Moritz und berühmte Kinderlieder". Title on the sleeve spine is "Max & Moritz". Track durations for the A-side are neither printed on sleeve nor label, so they were measured by stop-watch.
Side A contains a shortened rendition of Wilhelm Busch's comical poem »Max und Moritz«, narrated by uncredited voice actress [a=Manuela Steinel]. The text of all seven pranks is slightly edited, the story's prologue is completely missing from the recording and the epilogue is present, but is not listed in the release notes as a track of its own (see A8 in the tracklist).
The B-side consists of 26 children's songs, sung by an uncredited young-aged children's choir.
