This album was initially released in 2012 asArt Pepper live in Milan 1981 and promoted as a live recording of the regular Art Pepper Quartet in May 1981 in Milan, Italy. However, further research proved that the performance took place in Ancona, a historic harbor city on the Italian coast of the Adriatic Sea on May 4, 1981.
