Foreward: You're standing here in the record section of the store thumbing through the youth musical albums and wondering about the consequences of doing another musical. Did the pastor really mean it when he said "If you ever use the strobe lights again I'll install them permanently for lighting in the choir room!"? Were the parents as upset as they seemed over the long rehearsals night after night? Was it the hysterical-acting mother who burned the cross in your yard? Were the six kids who fell out in the performance only faking physical exhaustion? Do you suppose the Adult departments will picket another performance? Could the deacons have forgotten about the resolution: "... no more raucous music, divisive ideology, or unduly long performances? What did the Personnel Committee mean by "This is your last chance!"? Cheer up, Dear Heart! You have in your hand some sounds which will keep the kids excited and the criticism quieted!
ED SEABOUGH? Sure, he's the guy with the reputation for relating well to youth-big on the student scene. A real solid fellow who communicates things to youth that other adults keep trying to say.
BOB BURROUGHS? Remember "Now Hear It Again!", that nice short little musical that it seemed every youth choir in the country sang? Uh huh, that's Burroughs. Did you like those lush choral sections in "The Searcher"? That's his trademark. He writes full sounding choral parts that are no hassle to sing... Christ is presented as the answer to life's hassles.
