℗ 1970, CBS Inc. Made in Germany. This undated release is a 1980s reissue, as the CBS Masterworks provenance and grey labels with yellow lettering on the LPs demonstrate. The 32-page booklet is clearly a cut-down version of its 1970 predecessor, containing singer and conductor biographies which don't stretch further than 1969 (when the original recording was made) in English only, the libretto in French with translations into English and German, and a "synopsis" which is in English and in German only, and is limited to a genealogy of the opera's main characters and a list of scenes and settings. While the box cover and labels give Elisabeth Söderström's name with the correct diacritics, the booklet cover shares with earlier releases of this recording the spelling "Soederstroem."
