Solid Steel (4th July) We're pleased to welcome LA vocalist and producer Seven Davis Jr to Solid Steel, following releases on Must Have and Apron Records. It's a mix themed around his next EP featuring music from Slum Village, Connan Mockasin, Kutmah and his own unreleased music including a sublime cover of the classic Sly Stone track "If you want me to stay". This is what he had to say about his mix; " In support of the upcoming release of my "Friends" EP on Classic Records (July 7 2014), the subject of this mix is about a different side of friendship. Perhaps the worst, which is the awful "Friend-Zone". I dedicate this mix to anyone who is suffering from this condition.
