Sampler to promote the release of the single Firestarter. Limited to 1.000 copies.
Early copies came with a simple white front sleeve on which the title "The Singles" was printed, together with the tracklisting. This front sleeve was quickly destroyed however due to the typing error in the tracktitle of Poison. Poison has not been remixed by The Chemical Brothers, instead it should have read Voodoo People (Chemical Brothers Remix).

Some copies came with a press release, but this press release did not give a title to this release. As most front sleeves were destroyed, people began to name this release "Firestarter (12-Track Instore Promo Sampler)", as stated above, the actual title is "The Singles" though.
