Recording location: Grotezaal, Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, March 1992
From the booklet: This musical text used for this recording is the Revised Messiaen Edition, of which the publishers were kind enough to lend a proof copy in advance of publication. There are a number of small but important differences between this new edition and the one already published, all of which are reflected in our recording.
Jean-Yves Thibaudet studied the piano part with Yvonne Loriod and Olivier Messiaen, and a number of details have been added or changed in the piano part.
