Liner notes for "Somethin' Else" by Leonard Feather (Author of The Book of Jazz). Liner notes for "Sophisticated Swing" unsigned. "Somethin' Else" recorded in Hackensack, New Jersey on March 9, 1958. "Sophisticated Swing" recorded in New York on February 6 (tracks 7-10), 8 (track 11) & 11 (tracks 12-14), 1957. A short trio version of "Stella by Starlight" from "Sophisticated Swing", without Cannonball and Nat Adderley, was not included in this release due to CD time limitations.
